There are mainly two types of keywords short keywords and long tail keywords. Long tail keywords are more effective from SEO point of view.

Hi,

You can use the keywords which are more medium competition keywords. Google Adwords are the best tool to check your good keywords.

Use long tail keywords which should be low with competition and high searches.

while choosing the keyword for your post, you should first check the competition on the keyword and also check which websites are competing for this keyword.

Medium competition keywords and low competition keywords are the best to increase websites ranking fast in search engines. Google Adwords is the best tool to search good keywords.

Talking about competition on the google adword tool then that is the advertisers competition for the keyword so a high competition can be a good thing. If you are talking about the competition to get to the top of the SERPs then it can be a very bad thing!
