I like to prefer Google Plus because it's Google's Product and It improves our website's Google Ranking too.

Both the social networking sites have their own importance. It is hard to tell as to which the best choice for website promotion related activities is.

Google+ is certainly a platform that is going to help you with your page rank. But Twitter can be used to drive in more traffic.

Google+ provides back links but, twitter not. Twitter is to reach people with short period by who are all watch your tweet.

Twitter is effective if you have a huge numbers of followers

Both of them has its own advantage Google + is really good for promotional purpose and does add advantage to you seo efforts but where as twitter is more about sharing information.
