Assuming you're just starting:
Twitter > Google+ > Tumblr ~ Instagram > LinkedIn > Facebook

There are plenty of studies that show how difficult it is to grow on fb and the ton of bots that exist on the platform. Pinterest is also a major offender, although much easier to grow because there's no punishing element to having bots following you.

I use social media sites that allow you to AutoPost. Post once and your message is posted in facebook and twitter at the same time. Its easy and you get two times the output with one action.

Yes Kaurro, I am agree with you. Facebook and Pinterest are the best channels to create traffic and boost up the business, but there are some other ways to promote your business like offline marketing: Business cards, Poster etc.

It depends up on your website type and your target audience. If you are a eCommerce or online business, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, G+ are more likely to generate more traffic than any other social media. If you are a business owner and wants to generate more leads and generate traffic Twitter and LinkedIn are the best option.

All social sites are good when it comes to driving traffic to a website or blog. What differs is how you use the social site for your traffic needs. Personally, I use all of them, and all do drive almost equal traffic.
