My Opinion:

I like pinterest and Google+. Anyone can get a huge amount of traffic within small period of time. But work on them wisely.

Depends whether you want to pay for it. Facebook is generally very good, so is Google+. I recommend trying a few Facebook ads.

It mostly depends on a specific niche you're into, but I believe, regardless, that Facebook is still the best for all niches.

I highly recommend twitter because its one of the most interactive social media platforms .Though blogs still remain the best.
