Google EMD update is launched in 2012 for those poor websites who are ranking well in google by taking there trophy keyword in domain. After this update all poor website has been vanished from google and it helps other good and hardworking websites to rank well in google.

EMD stands for Exact Match Domains. The exact match domains update is a new filter aimed at ensuring that low-quality websites do not attain a high Page Rank and rise high in Googles SERPs just because such websites have the relevant search term in the domain names.

EMD (Exact Match Domains) was updated in September 2012 which keeps an eye on low quality websites so that they do not attain high page authority and rise in search renking of search engine.

Google states that EMD, like the other filters (Google Panda and Google Penguin), will be updated regularly. The updates are important because they fix bugs that might not have been anticipated by Google in previous releases.

The EMD Update — for “Exact Match Domain” — is a filter Google launched in September 2012 to prevent poor quality sites from ranking well simply because they had words that match search terms in their domain names. When a fresh EMD Update happens, sites that have improved their content may regain good rankings. New sites with poor content — or those previously missed by EMD — may get caught. In addition, “false positives” may get released.
