Importance of sitemap:
1. Sitemaps provide a path for search engines. 2. Navigation is enhanced. 3. The site becomes more visible to the search engine “spiders”. 4. Search engines will index the pages of the site. 5. Search engines are informed of any changes to the site. 6. Following changes, search engines can index the pages quicker. Since indexing is not done immediately, but, sitemaps accelerate the process. 7. Search engines follow the links on the sitemap, thus indexing all the pages of the site.
