I find tickletrain.com to be a great tool for that. I use it to follow-up on my invoices. It's so easy. Every time you send out an invoice, it follows-up for you with a pre-written email of your choice. You set the email content and the schedule. You just have to include a special email address in the bcc field of your email and that activates the follow-up. You can also set it up to send out multiple follow-up emails to the same person. It can be used to follow-up on anything. great tool.
