I think it depends on how well you write. If you provide excellent information that is relevant to your site content, then you should submit as many as you can. If your writing skills are poor and make you look uninformed or unintelligent, maybe you should focus on other methods of driving traffic. Ask someone who could care less about your success or your feeling to review your article(s). Don't be discouraged by their opinion, just use it and make yourself better for the criticism.
