Web spider is also called a web crawler, it is used by the searching engines. It crawls the websites stored in the server and it goes from link to link from a web page of a website to another to index those web pages so that the searching mechanism of a website becomes more faster and efficient. And if the web crawler does not crawl your website than your website cannot be indexed.
