Some times during Search Engine update or if you have a new site or added a new webpage, it instantly gain 1st page rank, for the targeted keyword, and then sometime it positioned after 10th page. These happens very instantly. It means for a period for which you link is not stable on some page for a long period, is known as "Google Dance"

Suppose: you post today, it is 9th page tomorrow, and day after tomorrow it is on 1st page, and then it is on page 8th and stable there for a week, the next time when Google again cached it, this period is due to Google dance. It is happen in case of new links.
