Digg does not prefer SEOs
As for my acquaintance, socially driven websites do not prefer SEOs. Most of the social driven websites do not prefer SEOs. I believe Digg is justified in disliking SEOs. At present, I do not have anything against SEOs. I believe that there are some authentic SEO companies and consultants who stay with legitimate SEO efforts. SEOs send content to websites such as Digg to be able to improve site traffic. They are not bothered with the content quality.
