Outbound links play a critical role in your overall linking strategy. This runs counter to the philosophy that used be popular in the industry, that of hoarding PageRank. You do read less about the notion of hoarding PageRank these days than you used to, but I still think that many publishers do not fully understand why outbound links are important.

Outbound links are links that point to some other domain from your site. When you link out to related domains, it not only helps the search engine to understand your niche, but also helps to increase the trust and quality of your site which plays a vital role in your blog’s SEO.

If you site has other site links, it's called out bound links for your website. Using more out bound links is not helpful for your site .

Outbound links are links that are intended to take you somewhere else. These are links s that are going to direct you to another particular site page or site inside and out. Most, if not all, sites have outbound links. Two sides of a coin.
