Have you noticed last week Google panda algorithm update?According to that , Google will going to pay more attention to videos related site than content based site.so try to get backlinks from such sites than article submission sites.

Yes this is true but this does not mean that article submission is useless either!
It depends on the niche whether video submission is possible or not.
