At present google not updated the pagerank.Google updated pagerank since last February 2013. so dont worry about google pagerank.

Directory submission alone won't do. You also need social bookmarking, article submission and blog commenting.

Currently Google has stopped updating the PR since February and still no one knows the right answer but you may still work on it to gain quality back links. They would not only provide you a ladder to get good KW rankings but to help you good page rankings if update in future.
