How to make proper meta title? - Site Owners Forums

Hello.
I am doing keyword research from Google keyword tool and doing competitor website analysis for keywords. I want to know that is there any proper way to set keywords in Meta Title of a page? Is there any steps or process to keep in mind while creating meta title and description?

Research Keywords first which you want rank and then think about Meta's. Make unique and proper meta title, description because Meta Title and Description is like ID Card of your site.

First research for meta keywords, and define a main keyword for your website per page, and mention that in title and other content, and also use in html tag like h1, h2 and img alt.

if you want to make proper meta title,first you should check the length of the meta tage(title,description and keyword).length should not exceed the following rules
-title length 65-70 char
-description 150 char
-keyword-12to 14 words

Title tags is the most important tags among all meta tags. Title tags inform search engine bots what your page is about. Steps to follow in preparing title tag for your pages
1. Have your title tag within 65 to 70 characters(including spaces)
2. Do not stuff too much of keywords for which you need to rank
3. Your title tags should be relevant to your page's content
4. User and bot should understand what your pages is about reading your title tag.

Meta title should be 60 characters long. It should be used in Meta description properly.

Your page titles and description should be descriptive and should be with the trade name. Keep away from keyword stuffing and repetition. Create descriptions that perfectly explain the particular page.
