I have a similar problems with you. Although the number of people who like my fanpage is increasing, the traffic to my site remains the same, even a little bit decreasing. I don't know why. Should I give up my website, and focus on facebook business?

Facebook is good place for getting traffic, still if the fans are not targeted to your niche wont get much visits, facebook ads would help to get targeted fans

First of all you should create a Facebook page after you advertised your page to get a lots of fans after you publish your site on the wall of your page like that you receive traffic to your page with facebook
