301 redirect time frame?
We had an old url (say) abc.com which had a PR of 4 but was not the best url for the site. So when the best url (say xyz.com) came free we 301 redirected the abc.com to xyz.com. We did this about a week ago.
While Google has already picked up the changes (type old url into search box and new url shows) a search for the site name which used to rank 3 is now nowhere to be seen. So how long before site is back in the results? All guesses or informed opinion welcome!

I've seen anything from 2 weeks to 3 months, though my more recent experiences with 301 have all had time frames on the shorter side.
