Wikipedia pages have numerous links to other Wiki pages and external content. This happens for inidividual Wiki pages. Since the number of links within each Wiki page is so high, Google considers it to be more credible. Hence, there are Wiki pages being ranked higher than other pages on Google.

Because it is content driven, contains a lot of information (key words, focused topics, anchor text, etc.), and is the 7th most popular site on the internet, so it has a lot of backlink power.

Hi,
Content of Wikipedia is mostly Unique and more users visit over and over repeatedly. Lost of people share the content from wikipedia and bookmark it. That's why Google gives more important to Wikipedia. Thanks

Wikipedia has a numerous links to other Wiki pages and external content. This happens for inidividual Wiki pages. Since the number of links within each Wiki page is so high, Google considers it to be more credible there are Wiki pages being ranked higher than other pages on Google.
