Hi y’all! I’m Caitlin, a born-&-bred Virginian who just relocated to Austin! I love craft beer, adventures, & writing; but most of all, I love Austin.

Moving on though… I knew a move to Austin was always the #1 “after-college” goal for me, South America or not. I fell in love with this city in 2014 and knew that it would be my home one day. After college, I took a year off to save up money and during that time I unearthed a love for writing and blogging. I started visiting breweries and wineries and used that hobby to develop a talent for reviewing them and their products. Which is where we are at today with Big World Small Girl.

BWSG is here now for me to blog my experience as a small-town girl moving to a big city. I’m so excited to be discovering this city and even more excited to share every bit with big world small girlthe internet! And most importantly, I will always be reviewing breweries and craft beer. I’m always going to love solo-travel and yearn to visit new countries, and so I will continue to document that on this website as a permanent journal for memories and advice to new solo-travelers.
