Try to write long content (2000+ words)
Don't forget to upload XML Sitemap to google
Use Robots.txt intellegently, because it blocks pages of your site not crawling by google.
Use Responsive Design (Mobile Friendly)
Try to use Keyword rich urls
Internal links to related pages.
Write Keyword rich title
Write ALT tags for images in the site
Post in Social Networking sites (facebook,twitter,google+ etc.) regularly
