I expect that the tried and true methods will still continue to be valuable but I also believe there will be a continued emphasis on user experience which relates to a lot of different elements:
Mobile optimization / amp
Site load time
Site quality metrics (potentially incorporating bounce rates or similar metrics)
Continued emphasis on localization (where applicable)
Continued focus on understanding query intent and improving contextual results
