There are many features in Search console you can use on daily basis to track some great metrics.
1) HTML Improvement - This section will tell you a number of duplication in title, description etc. The critical issue to fix.
2) Search Analytics - This section will tell you number search term ranked, their clicks, their impressions and much more. Track this to see where your site is heading with the Google organic search.
3) Links to your site - This data will tell you a number of backlinks, linking domain. Very vital metric to any website.
4) Check Google Index tab for indexing stats
5) Check Crawl errors in "Crawl" section to examine a number of 404 & other errors. Always try to clean this area.
