Black links are known as Incoming Links. I can explain better with an example.
Consider 2 sites A and B .And site A submitted some content in site B and users is able to refer site A on site B then it is known as Site A is getting back link from siteB. In simple words it can be described as those many number of sites are referring site A.
It helps a lot in Search Engine Optimization because back links are one of the important criteria that Google considers.
