If you have a large customer base you can make lookalike audiences, which means you can target your ads towards people who share similar traits as previous customers. The lookalike targeting has proven extremely effective and I would strongly recommend trying it out.
I mostly optimize campaigns towards conversions on website, which works perfectly in combination with lookalike targeting.
