LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) is the part of Google’s algorithm that will fold words into a matrix for analyses, for the purpose of identifying semantically related terms. Search engines apply this process through linking related words together by analysing how certain keywords on websites appear in combination with other related keywords, then correlating them to a particular theme or concept. LSI also allows search engines to better decipher websites to provide more relevant search results with higher quality content, free from keyword stuffing and spam.
