After signing up and being approved, you add the code they give you to display ads where you want them. There are some rules, such as 3 ads max per page if responsive/contextual.
Mostly its pay per click, but it seems like you get a little for views also, a much smaller amount. I get about 1$ Per click right now. That varies on site and other factors.
