You can chat with friends, befriend people who have similar opinions/likes/dislikes, upload pictures, voice your opinion on anything (up to 420 characters), and play great games.
You can put whatever you like as long as it's under 140 characters. There's also games to be played but they are more text based (still fun though). If you've just seen a film give it a mini review, if you've seen a news story that makes your blood boil share your anger. Also post links to sites such as Youtube. If you follow certain people they will brighten up your day with hilarious comments.
