1. Try to optimize your content for SEO so you get massive traffic from search engines like Google Yahoo and Bing (VERY IMPORTANT)
2. Forums should be seen as a medium to ask questions and get answers... Do leave quality and relevant reply to the topic after reading the post and replies... Only then people will be more convinced to know more about you and your site...
3. Make sure you submit your site to social bookmarking websites like Stumble Upon, Reddit and Digg it can bring a lot of traffic to your site instantly... But follow the rule of 90/10.. Share 90% posts of other site and 10% of yours.
