There are factors that you need to look when linking to a page that has a high pagerank. If a page that is PR6 but lots of outbound links can be less beneficial compare to a page lower than PR6 but low in outbound links.

Also the placement of the outbound link can be a factor. If you manage to get a link from a PR6 page with your link placed in the upper part of the page, then it could mean a good link juice. But you can rarely do it unless you have a blog network.
