It depends on the nature of your page. Is that a business page or a pure entertainment page?
Getting likes comes in a variety of ways depending on the topic that you discuss. If that is an entertainment blog, or something like funny ones, then putting a lot of funny stuffs there would be fine.
But if that is a business page, you should work your way not only in social media but for all possible way that you can show your facebook page.
