Deep linking is a way to have more keywords within your site pages. You should try and restrict your keywords to 5-6 and normally there are much more keywords than that for a niche. So taking advantage of placing them in subsequent pages is a wise thing to do so you are able to gain more visitors by spreading out your keywords.
