What is the Internet of Things (IoT)

IoT is a system of devices that are connected to the internet, which allows them to send/receive signals and collect/share data.
IoT first started in 1982 when David Nichols decided the walk toward the Coca-Cola vending machine at Carnegie Mellon University was too long!
