Deepawali Festival Celebrations in India
According to the legend, Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and consort of Lord Vishnu, visits her devotees and bestows gifts and blessings on each of them. To welcome the Goddess, devotees clean their homes, decorate them with feathers and lights, and prepare sweet treats and dishes as offerings. Devotees believe that Lakshmi is pleased, with this journey, she blesses the family with health and wealth.
