There are so many updates, improvements and changes in digital technology that what was the most popular and creative yesterday, today is an outdated one. I don't think that such recommendations are useful, because you don't need to follow the instructions, but be creative and understand the needs of users. Any designer needs to take into account what the client wants, but it's also important to understand what the user really needs. I found a good book that help me figure this out.
