Every report in Analytics is made up of dimensions and metrics.The dimension Page indicates the URL of a page that is viewed. Metrics are quantitative measurements. The metric Sessions is the total number of sessions. The metric Pages/Session is the average number of pages viewed per session.

A dimension is a description, a characteristic, a feature or aspect of your data. It’s not a quantitative variable but more a qualitative variable.
Metrics are the numbers you see in each dimension. Metrics show you what a user did on your site, expressed in numbers. |
