Recently Viewed Pages Display Coding.
 

I am looking to add some sort of utility or area on my site which will be able to detect what recent or past pages a user has browsed through their cookies and then display some sort of recently viewed pages result in a designated area. I would want to only apply this for certain pages and if possible, give priority to certain pages to be listed as recently visited over others.

I do not know what sort of programming language to look at or if this is an area of specialty that would require a programmer with a specific area of expertise.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
