Image Optimization

The best way to do image optimization is to make sure the images you are using are not to big. Big size images will take more space on your server and the more traffic you have the more it will cost you in bandwidth also.

Pages wit large images take longer to load, and before you know it people will be navigating away from your page because no one like to wait forever for an image to load. if you have a an e-commerce website you will be losing customers because of that.

Always try to stock with images with an .gif extension and a .jpg extension because images ending with these extensions are good when you compare quality to size.

You may even wonna consider some image optimization tools. Some of these tools are made to shrink your image while keeping the best quality possible. How it works? you upload your image to them and they take care of converting your picture to different format, then all you have to do is chose the format that better suits you.

I hope these steps will help you. If you have any questions please let me know.
