How many back links you can create per day if your niche is too much competitive ?

Building backlinks should come naturally. So it is necessary to not build backlinks instantly. I think having 3-5 backlinks from quality and relevant sites per day would be enough..of course aside from the promotions you are doing in order to drive or gain traffic to your site.
