Forum posting is Best as far as I am concerned. But you should post relevant matter to the Thread. And your answer should be of good quality. and You should not post one word answers.

blog commenting require more deep knowledge of blog or article ....and in case of forum posting you have to update with these topic.....

Forums are faster. And if you are looking for link juice a forum with a "Liked" button is like heaven on earth. :D
