Cloud hosting or dedicated hosting?

Cloud hosting is the latest buzz in web hosting. The major advantage seems to be the atomic scalability but does one really need that or just big sites?

Normally one would purchase a dedicated server and leave a lot of resources unemployed before his or her sites go popular. But I also heard a lot of bad things about cloud hosting that's not yielding expected results.

Any idea which one should go with?

Think that it is not so easy to find a good and trustworthy web host.
Can suggest Cloud Hosting solutions offered by Hostforweb.com, decent web host.
Their plans are quite cheap when you figure what you're getting for them.
As for their servers, they are really fast.

cloud hosting has many advantage, which is why it has became so popular. It’s extremely reliable, because even if one of the connected servers goes down, the other servers will maintain hosting. Because the cloud is run on multiple servers, you can easily add more servers enabling seemingly endless scalability.

A dedicated server is exactly how it sounds – a server that someone buys or leases to manage all the data. It’s kind of like using your personal computer, but on a much grander scale. This is the most traditional route for hosting.

Cloud hosting doesn't suit everyone. It is only suitable for very huge websites which face millions of traffic everyday. Other wise dedicated server hosting is well enough for big business websites. I also have used dedicated server hosting only for my websites. I got best deals on dedicated server hosting from TuckTail.com at low cost with 24/7 customer support.

The rate at which the cloud industry is flourishing in today’s IT world, the choice of cloud hosting vs dedicated server has become an eternal topic of discussion. There are literally thousands of forums, discussion boards and blogs on Internet that are discussing this in lengths; most of them being one-sided (no points for guessing that they're in favor of cloud hosting on accounts of its numerous benefits). But, I wanted to do a brief neutral comparison without being biased towards the cloud hosting… So, let us also kick-start the comparison with the basics of these technologies.
