In search engine optimization (SEO) terminologya backlink is a hyperlink that links form a web page, back to your own web pageor web site. Its also called an inboundlink (IBL) these links are importance in determining the popularity of your website. Some search engines, includingGoogle will consider web site with more backlinks more relevant in searchresults pages.

Backlink is nothing but a hyperlink (which is placed in other websites and pointed to our websites). Backlinks are also called as Inboundlinks/incoming links.

Backlinks are links pointing towards your site.links are of two types :-
1. inbound links
2. outbound links
