What are the features that I should consider before exchanging links from a site?

Important Points that should be keep in mind while exchange links.
1. The web pages where you want link must be relevant
2.Page rank of the site
3.well reputed site

Link Exchange is not recommended. As per my knowledge, now in modern era Search Engines don't like link exchange. So why to do that?

I don't think Link Exchange is a good practice anymore, actually, if someone removes your link, you will not be in a position to know immediately.

You can do it but you'll have to be smart. DO just do it for any website. Consider an authority site that is high quality and also related to your niche.
