I would like to know the correct relationship which exists between sitemaps and search engine optimization, in short, SEO. Under the present industry scenario, SEO is being considered to be a very effective strategy in generating website traffic leading to an increase in revenues. It is thus very obvious that any technique that leads the page higher up the search engine, needs to be explored. As far as my knowledge is concerned, sitemaps act like guides that might make it probable for a website visitor to easily get what he wants from the site. Experts are of the opinion that sitemaps are invaluable in Google.

Sitemap is a hint for search engine, it help search engine to discover number of pages available of the particular site. With sitemap search engine can detect number of deep link easily.
