J. Cole shut down a brief chanting of "Fuck Lil Pump" during his set at this weekend's JMBLYA Fest, Complex reports. The chant started during a brief pause in his set, but was cut off when J. Cole told the crowd "Nah, don't do that...Don't say that." A few shouts of "Fuck 6x9" were also quieted by the order. J. Cole then performed "1985."

The incident comes just after J. Cole told Vulture that he was starting to appreciate younger, more popular artists, naming XXXTentacion, Trippie Redd, and Lil Baby as current favorites. Last month, the crowd at a Smokepurpp concert began a "Fuck J. Cole" chant. They were not encouraged to stop,
