Code to Text Ratio is the percentage of actual text in a webpage. Text is required to be included on webpage from the perspective of SEO. There are no specific percentage, but it must not exceed more than 50% of your page

Code to text takes a lot of interpretation. It is heavily dependent upon page size. My highly optimized index page has a ratio of only 10.2% and about 300 words, but sits on top of many highly competitive financial keywords in the SERPs. I have another very large page that is basically of standard optimization... it has a code to text of 61.25% and thousands of words. It really is not a landing page at all... it has zero external links and does not play in the SERPs at all. I have another 25 pages just like it. Great ratios but useless to me in the SERPs. But, the content on those 26 pages is fabulous.

Thanks for you answer. At the moment I have 8% but would you consider that as bad? My website is not that large, and I don't have that many words on each page. I might consider to rewrite some of my content.
