WCF Hosting with Windows Service
 

There are several ways to host a WCF service library (IIS, Windows Service, Self Hosting), Windows Service is one of them. Windows service hosting option is suitable for a long-running outside of IIS in a secure environment that is not message activated. The lifetime of the service is controlled instead by the operating system.
