Search engine marketing refers to the process of marketing your website in various search engines, whereas internet marketing is the process of promoting your business over the internet. SEM is a part of internet marketing.

The difference between SEO and SEM is simply that Search Engine Optimization is part of Search engine marketing or Search marketing as it is widely known. Both processes aim in increasing visibility in search engines.It involves other methods that can get you more search engine visitors like PPC advertising.

SEO is the more technical half of the two platforms, but its main purpose is to bring the company’s website to the front page, and preferably the first link, in the search engines. Page Rank depends on SEO; therefore, the company should focus on articles with relative content and proper keyword density. While SEO is the technical side filled with keywords, links and page content, Internet Marketing is the more human aspect of the two platforms.
