First impression: feel that website is missing a statement of the purpose of your website.
My suggestion is to replace the first paragraph with a nice big picture with text - bullet points of what the site is about.
Alternatively you may want to have a slider with same information and a call to action such as 'Register Now'

Nice clean interface, but I agree with the post above that there probably need to be a few more images in there along with all that text.
