Why do you need alt text on your images?

It will be better if you have alt tag on images for SEO, google will index images as will for the keyword in alt tag however in my opinon its not necessary.

In image alt tag which means you give a name of that image, google will crawl that image by name

Alt tag or alternate text helps in crawling of image and indexing in google database. If your image take long time in loading then with the help of alt tag user can get the idea about what is this image.

Placing an alt tag on Images allows Google Bot to consider that image by name. If you want to get your website ranked better on Google search get every Alt image listed as your keywords.

Crawler can't read the images that's why we use alt tags.
