I want to know that ..what is google penalty ?

A Google penalty is the negative impact on a website's search rankings based on updates to Google's search algorithms and/or manual review. The penalty can be an unfortunate by-product of an algorithm update or an intentional penalization for various black-hat SEO techniques.

I had a similar experience with one of my own sites and it turned out to be a link based penalty from too many spam links. I have mostly recovered with the help of a company called Rewind SEO who provided a big analysis and then use of the Google disavow links tool.
